I'm hooked on sharing sugary delights... I have two pages on facebook

For the whole wide world of English speakers out there, native and otherwise, I also have a Facebook page appropriately titled
top of the world cakes. Find me there, if you dare :)

And for those lucky few of you out there who understand Icelandic (I'm not joking there are only about 300.000 people in the whole Icelandic nation) I have an Icelandic Facebook page, just look for veislu kökur http://www.facebook.com/veislukokur

So I suggested this little darling...

You will need:

220 gr molasses sugar (or the dark kind of brown sugar)
120 gr butter (room temperature)
2 eggs
200 gr flower
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
400 gr chopped chocolate pieces

Mix everything but the chocolate together in a mixer, add the chocolate, mix some more and cool the dough. (just a few minutes)
Make a long roll and cut into equal parts
Place on baking tray (give them some room)
In the oven for 8-10 min at 180 C
Keep an eye on the edges, when they start to get nice and golden, you're just about done.

You can make the dough and freeze the roll for later use, then when you are ready to bake just let it thaw for a few minutes, cut and pop in the oven.
You can also put more chocolate, white chocolate, chocolate candies, smarties and so forth or add peanuts for that extra crunch.

Enjoy...
